Choose the Right Route

Start with the system that last held the person or created the record.

  • Use the home page for the full released-person search and written sheriff request steps.
  • Use Post-Release Supervision to route a misdemeanor, gross-misdemeanor, felony, or prison-release supervision question.
  • Use 24-Hour Releases for the same-day fallback chain, since McLeod has no official recent-release feed.
  • Use Release Date Lookup for an anticipated date and VINE Inmate Check for county-jail notifications.
  • Use the facility pages in the footer when a transfer identifies another custodian.
  • For a Minnesota prison sentence, contact DOC Central Records at co-records.doc@state.mn.us or 651-361-7200.
  • Use BOP, ICE, the federal Clerk, or USMS records procedures for federal or immigration custody.
